The Asian American Pacific Islander Health Forum (AAPIHF), a national health care advocacy organization, has invited you to evaluate a new program they have launched in six cities in the US. Each site has implemented a new theory-based intervention focused on addressing health inequities in Asian American and Pacific Islander communities using a family-centered approach.

You have convened a stakeholder meeting with representatives from each site. Some stakeholders want you to use a randomized control trial to evaluate this intervention as an evidence-based program. They argue not a lot of evidence based programs exist that serve this community. Other stakeholders feel uncomfortable using an RCT because some people will not receive the intervention.
