Assume that you are the Research Officer for the Productivity Training Institute, an Institute established to enhance training support for various business sectors. The objectives of the Institute are to strengthen the training support for both industrial and commercial communities and to upgrade and update the knowledge and skills of people engaged in industry and commerce through the transfer of technology and skills to industries, businesses and individuals.

As the Research Officer, you are required to collect data and submit a report to the Chairperson of the Productivity Council which explores the following questions:

1. What are the major environmental changes affecting the current need for training and development for employees in Hong Kong (Myanmar)?

2. How may the identified changes affect the training and development for people working in:

a. the tourism industry; and

b. the banking and finance industry?
