A well-written job description is vital so that potential employees understand not only the required tasks of the position, but other requirements such as desired skills, personality, talents, and educational background. Future employees want and need to know the specifics to determine if they have the right skill-set, but they also want to envision if they will be a good fit for the work environment. A well-developed job description will provide all these details. Writing up these descriptions is a common and crucial task for HR professionals.
Write a 1,250-word paper in which you detail out the essential sections needed in an effective job description. Present the research behind why each section is important. Then end your paper with your own example of a written job description based on a human resource position that you desire to attain in the future. You have the opportunity to write a thorough, professional job description that includes all the details you would want to know before applying for the position. Your course materials and the Internet have many examples of job descriptions. Make this description your own. Make it professional and detailed. In addition, label each essential section of your job description as presented in your research.
Support your paper with course materials and at least three (3) additional sources. Use correct APA format throughout. Approximately 1,000 words are needed for the research section and 250 words for the job description. Required word count does not include the title and reference pages. An abstract is not required.
