Question

The unconscious bias toward anyone especially a patient is completely unacceptable. As health care professionals we are privilege to work in a field that provides a way to feed our family, and it would be devastating should we lose that job. In the same boat we have to be diligent and culturally competent to assist everyone regardless of their background. One of the suggestion that can be used is the servant leadership, when a person is your patient, it is important to show that patient that you care, and you understand their concerns. A good way to address that also is by having a mindset to assist people in the worst time of their lives. When learn to work as teams and providing a resource to address people in the best way possible, then they are able to get the most out of live. Also, as Christians we have to be a role model at work, we must show that we have the decency and the understanding that we can be impartial toward people regardless of where they are from across the globe.
