I believe Abraham Lincoln is the best suited option to win the Election of 1860. I believe Abarham Lincolns policy and promise like the belief that people are "endowed by their Creator with certain ineligible right" should be sacredly preserved. Other policies like his belief that the right of the state to govern its own territory is " is essential to that balance of powers on which the perfection and endurance of our political fabric depends;" As a well respected politician in Illinois Abraham Lincoln already contains the strength to hold a political position. Being a known talented speaker, Abraham Lincoln would be a great look for our country as a leader. One of Abraham Lincolns opponents in this election is John C. Brekenridge. John presents policies and promises like the acquisition of Cuba, which could potentially lead to conflicts with other countries starting war. Another negative policy is his allowance to states entering the federal union, regardless of slavery policies.
