Suppose we have a link with a rate of 1.6 Mbps, are transmitting packets with a size of 5000 bytes, the round trip delay on the link is 100 ms, and we are using a sliding window protocol of size 4 packets and a time-out (for the ACK) at the sender set at 150ms.

(a) What is the efficiency on the link assuming lossless transmission?

(b) Suppose lossless transmission except that the ACK for the third packet is lost in transit. Use a time-rail diagram to show what happens before and after this loss event.
