The Brisbane Show is an annual event held every year for the past thirty (30) years. Helen is new to Brisbane and has not been to the show before. She decides to go to see how it compares to the Longreach Show. While walking down one of the alleys, Helen sees the ticket box for a roller coaster ride called 'The Wild One'. The ride is owned and operated by Edwin Limited. Above the ticket box for the ride is a large sign which reads "For conditions ofride see ticket". Helen buys a ticket to ride the roller coaster. On the front of the ticket she is given it has the words "Admit one" and in smaller lettering "See back for conditions". Helen suffers from dyslexia and has trouble reading. She could not read the fine print and did not read the ticket before boarding the roller coaster. The conditions on the back ofthe ticket included a term which read:

"Edwin Limited is not liable for any damage or injury occurring as a result of the construction or operation of this ride. Riding is at patron's own risk and this is a condition of entry onto the ride." During the ride, a mechanical failure caused a massive jolt in the ride resulting in a number ofthe riders being injured. Helen was one of them. She suffered whiplash and a broken arm. Helen has incurred significant medical expenses as a result ofthese injuries and wants to sue Edwin Limited. Advise Helen in contract law.
