In such situations, the bulk of the order is shipped immediately and the out of stock item is shipped separately. Valley News either accepts or rejects the receipt of the inventory based on comparison of the order to the magazines received. Historically Valley News has rejected about 5% of all receipts. Valley News must pay for some of their purchases COD but usually pay by the 10th of the subsequent month for all purchases made the prior month. For some magazines publishers, Valley News is allowed to make installment payments.
