While growing up in Hong Kong, Bruce Lee learned the martial arts. After coming to America, he worked as a dishwasher and taught martial arts classes part-time. His wife encouraged him to open his own martial arts studio. Bruce rented space for his first studio, which he shows to his wife in this scene. Initially, she was a little shocked by the condition of the space. Bruce, brimming with confidence, reminds her that it was her idea, and says that she told him that he could do anything. Bruce then says, "When I came over (to America) on the boat, I knew that this was an idea place. Ideas make this country great. A good idea makes a man anything he wants to be." My question to you is this. "Is Bruce Lee right?" To what extent does a good idea make a man or woman anything that he or she wants to be?
