3. Cosmo is a middle-aged male suffering from leukemia and undergoing chemotherapy. He contracts a toxin-producing streptococcal infection.

4. Susan is a 49-year-old woman who is severely allergic to bee stings. She is stung by a bee while driving in her car. She is unable to reach her EpiPen.

5. Elaine suffers a spinal cord in the upper thoracic area injury while skiing. Blood pressure is falling, yet no compensatory increase in heart rate is noted.
