Brief Summary: The patient is a 53 y/o female admitted to the mental health unit for evaluation. Per police report, the patient had appeared intoxicated and had attacked a fellow bar patron after accusing her of "paying too much attention to my date." Police were called to the scene. The students are expected to assess, educate, administer psychiatric medications, and therapeutically communicate to the patient.

Social History: Patient admits to 1 or 2 drinks of bourbon daily and to smoking 2 packs of cigarettes per day. Per patient's daughter, patient has recently been spending significant amounts of money on clothes, hair and make-up, and has joined several dating websites.
Past Medical History: No significant medical/surgical history. History of depression and bipolar disorder. Patient's daughter states her mother's mood has started to improve within the past two weeks.
Medications: Abilify 15mg PO BID x1 month
