Projects, by their very nature, create change through their outcomes. Projects are also pathways to leadership. While Leadership and Change Management essentially deal with how effectively an organization addresses organizational change, the impact on project execution is a very real concern for project managers. In addition, the dynamic nature of projects results in ongoing change to the initially defined scope. This latter scope change is typically the perspective that is dominant in project management. In this discussion, we want to explore both perspectives of change and how leadership manages it within organizations.

Discuss the nature of leadership in your organization, how these two types of change are managed with your organization. You could discuss the issues in general (with specific projects as examples) or discuss any particular project in depth and explore how both types of change were managed related to that project. Obviously, you may keep both the company and project name/details confidential in your discussions.
