The Slide Presentation may be created for any period, topic or furniture designer, or architect we cover in this course. To determine your topic, browse through the class course outline, class textbook, or explore the Web. If you have a passion for a topic, for example the French Rococo Period. Your project can be strictly on furnishings and architecture of the French Rococo style.
The Format for Power Point Presentation:
1. Title Page
2. Table of Content
3. Background History
4. Exterior Architecture
5. Interior Architecture
6. Original furniture of the period
7. Fabrics/Materials
8. Motifs
9. Art
10. Decorative objects (lighting, metal work, pottery, or wares)
11. Contemporary usage/applications
12. Personal photos from travel or visits (optional to include)
13. Works Cited
Technical Aspects:
1. Resolution of images. Clear and not blurry
2. Text portion: spelling correct, clearly conveyed with bullets, simple and brief, not lengthy text, fonts large enough to read at a distance, accurate
3. All images should contain titles and images are large enough to view detail
4. Number of slides for Power Point Presentation, must meet minimum requirements (in parentheses)
5. Turn in Power Point on a Flash Drive, share via Google Docs, or Air Drop
Creative Aspects:
1. Most images should be in color (some black & white is okay)
2. Background color/texture for the slides should be interesting
3. Be creative with font
4. Include at least one type of animation in the presentation
Guideline for Power Point Presentation:
1. Title Page (include your name and title of project)
2. Table of Content
3. Background History

7. religious influence (religion, religious leaders)
8. economic influence (social class, who paid/commissioned work)
9. additional information such as social class or interesting information that affected art, design or architecture

a. structures (temples, palaces, residences, monuments, religious and secular (public) buildings)
5. Interior Architecture
a. interior of structures (religious, secular, residential)
6. Original furniture of the period
a. If there are no furnishings you may substitute for something else of your choice (fashion, military equipment, clocks, jewelry, etc.)
7. Fabrics/Materials
a. fabrics used on furniture or for flooring, such as woods, metals, stone, or window coverings, etc.
8. Motifs
a. motifs are common symbols used in art, furniture, architecture such as moldings, columns, etc.)
9. Art
a. murals, paintings, sculpture, wooden objects, bronze or metal sculptures
10. Decorative objects (lighting, metal work, pottery, or wares)
11. Contemporary usage/applications
a. furniture, accessories such as pillows or objects, and architecture that clearly demonstrate the influence from this time period or culture in a modern setting.
12. Personal photos that connect to your topic. For example, if your topic is Roman Antiquity, you may have visited Rome, Italy and can include photos from your first hand experience there.
