Select a face-to-face professional development you created in a previous course or one that you gave/were given as a teacher that supported the implementation of technology. Try to choose a PD you implemented yourself, was part of implementing, or attended the implementation for.

Imagine the professional development was a success, but now your principal wants you to reimagine the same PD in an alternative method or setting and submit a proposal of your suggestions. The choice has been left up to you regarding how to deliver this professional development, but the one requirement is the use of technology for implementation. This can be a synchronous Zoom session, an asynchronous online learning module, or a face-to-face session that is organized and implemented with the help of technology. Additionally, the principal has asked you to include a list of common issues for students related to software, hardware, and connectivity problems within the digital learning environment.

To present your alternative PD to the principal make:

Begin by first evaluating the original professional development. How did it meet the needs of the teachers and students in regard to using technology for learning? How was the PD effective in deepening teacher's knowledge and improving their skills when using technology to increase student learning? Include these as part of your presentation.

Discuss the implementation of the professional development. Model the principles of adult learning and promote digital age best practices when considering delivery. Discuss how each will occur during implementation.

The principal asked that in addition to the professional development, you include a list of common issues related to software, hardware, and connectivity problems within digital learning environments. This resource is meant to support the teachers when their students are having these issues. Research common problems and include one from each category in the presentation to share with the principal.
