Select a specific natural ecosystem that interests you. It should be a forest, lake, desert, grassland, or marine ecosystem that you can find enough information about to complete the assignment. Tip: Note that reservoirs, manicured parks (such as a city park with lawns, etc.), and other features that were created or maintained by people for water supply, recreation, electricity, etc. are not natural ecosystems and are not acceptable topics for this assignment. 1. Identify the ecosystem and its location.

2. Describe the structure of the ecosystem including important abiotic features and dominant plant and animal species.
