Purpose
The purpose of the APICS organization is to train and develop excellence in operations management. The organization does this through superior training techniques, industry level certifications, access to resources and a network of industry professionals.
Discuss risk management strategies
Demonstrate basic use of an operating system including an electronic file system
Critique strategies used to effectively promote occupational health and safety and employee wellness in the workplace
Use a variety of thinking skills to anticipate and solve problems
Perform basic algebraic operations
The student will recognize and use a variety of structural and stylistic techniques, analyze audience, purpose, and tone, and develop critical reading and thinking skills.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will have covered components and related tasks and skills needed to prepare for the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) exam for Microsoft Excel if the student chooses to do so.
This course allows students to develop a sound understanding of what it means to be a global citizen, both personally and professionally, and the ways in which they can contribute to an equitable society and world.
Through classroom instruction, the student is introduced to the common practice in consumer finance as used by Canadian companies.
Students will apply the theories and concepts of operations management to demonstrate their understanding of the impact of operations activities in business life.
