Question: Although human sexual behavior is affected by hormones and other biological factors, it is also learned behavior based on what is considered normal, especially in your culture. What is considered normal in one culture might be considered unnatural in another, and it is often the case that the same behaviors that are prohibited in one culture are tolerated in another and even expected in yet a third culture. "Cross-cultural variations in sexual customs include variations in behaviors, attitudes, and sanctions related to premarital and extramarital sex, incest, menstruation, homosexual behavior, gender roles, contraception use, prostitution, sodomy and oral sex, abortion, polygamy, genital mutilation, public nudity, child molestation, sterilization, interracial sex, transvestitism, and in what people find sexually arousing," (Morris, 2013).
Select one major aspect of sexuality listed above and discuss how this aspect varies in one or two different cultures (and why this is the case) and note the role and functions that sexuality plays in the lives of people from that culture.
