Case Study: George is a 59 year old male who arrives at your clinic with a chief complaint of right hand injury. George's medical chart shows a past medical history of HTN, depression, anxiety, and GERD. Upon speaking with George, you learn he punched a wall after having an argument with his girlfriend who lives with him. He also recently lost his job due to down-sizing at a local restaurant after COVID restrictions limited their customers. He is concerned about the cost of this visit and he is reluctant to have imaging due to cost. He would really just prefer that you provide him with something for the pain. You are the solo provider working in the clinic on this Saturday afternoon, although there are two medical assistants also working in the clinic today. The wait times have been increased significantly in your clinic, recently, due to the high volume of patients with COVID.
