I was wondering what your thoughts would be if we were to discontinue stocking these pediatric leads in the anesthesia induction room, or if this is possible? Currently, the anesthesia techs prepare for the day by opening a pack of these leads and attaching them to the equipment. However, we often replace them with our MRI safe leads. I am uncertain if the opened pack is subsequently utilized or simply wasted. My primary aim is to address a safety concern for pediatric patients (burns) and to prevent unnecessary wastage of these leads. The MRI safe leads are always available for use, are compatible with the equipment in the induction room, and are located in the alcove just outside of the induction room. There is no rush in this matter, please let me know your thoughts when you can. Or if this matter could be addressed by someone else, can you let me know who to contact?
