The topic I found interesting that deals with both traditional HR management and strategic HR management, is described on pages 18-22 of the readings, which deals with human resource roles. They are functional experts, which focuses on providing technical expertise related to hiring and motivating employees, an employee advocate, one who looks out for employees to make sure they are treated fairly, a strategic partner, one who provides insights and motivation to put a companies strategy into motion, and a human capital developer, one who is concerned with helping employees learn and develop new skills. (Stewart & Brown 2014, pgs. 18-22) All these roles work together to aide a company in filling their short and long-term strategic goals.

-Differentiate between traditional and strategic human resource approaches and explain your rationale.

-Describe a real-world situation that could be addressed utilizing primary concepts related to each approach (traditional or strategic) from the assigned readings.

-Identify the strengths and weaknesses of each approach and explain why they are strengths or weaknesses.
