A full-term infant who was diagnosed with a VSD in utero during a sonogram. Birthweight was 3.12 kg (6.9 lb). Infant was previously hospitalized at 3 weeks of age due inability to feed and weight loss. During that admission, the infant was started on digoxin orally twice a day. Infant was seen in cardiology clinic two weeks ago and was doing well with digoxin prescription and parents reported infant was eating better. However, infant was still below the 5th percentile for weight on the growth chart at 3.65 kg (8 lb).
