Richard is a 60-year-old male. He lives in his 3-bedroom home. Recently his wife passed away and he only has a daughter, Jenny, living with her partner. Richard has a cardiac history and recently has a been diagnosed with bowel cancer. He has short term memory loss (early dementia) but he is still able to maintain his activities of daily living. Richard's daughter is very supportive and regularly visits him. Richard recently had abdominal surgery which left him with a temporary colostomy bag for 6 weeks. Richard also has an indwelling catheter for 6 weeks. Carers under HACC services are responsible for colostomy and catheter care. Recently, the ACAT team has assessed Richard for low level aged care services. His daughter has also organised for HACC services to come and provide required personal and domestic services for Richard under a Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS). Richard has lifelong memories of his wife and kids in his home and wishes to remain in it if possible. 1.As per case scenario, do you think Richard has right to stay at his home? Yes/No.
