Developing Policies and Procedures - Personnel Files
Directions
1. Search the Internet for sample policies regarding personnel files. Choose one that you like and revise it to incorporate the elements listed in the Marking Criteria below. In developing your policy, think about what elements a policy and procedures document should include. What are the employer's obligations regarding personnel files? What are the employees' rights regarding their own personnel files? What documents should not be maintained in the official personnel file? You do not have to give references for your sources as you will be starting with an existing policy and revising it to make it better.
2. Submit your Policy and Procedures document as an attachment to your facilitator for grading.
