Games are designed with the user in mind. Throughout history, the processes for designing and developing games have grown increasingly complex, affording a wider range of experiences for players. However, diversity in gameplay can present problems for competitive gaming and esports.

Your task is to determine and justify the top three most important components of any effectively designed game in discussion with your classmates.

Steps

1.) Use internet search to learn about the following topics about game design and esports. This should take roughly 30 minutes. To get started, review the materials listed in Resource 1 below.

In this assignment, rank the top three most important components of an effectively designed game. Your ranking should be based on personal experience and implications for esports competitions.

Under your rankings, write one hundred word justification for your rankings using evidence from the materials in Resource 1 below. To earn full credit, your justification must include:

1.) Evidence from the history of game design identified through your research in Step 1 and/or referenced in Resource 1 below.
