Objectives:
Develop a self-directed strategy for life-long managerial and leadership skills development. workplace motivation initiatives based on current theories of motivation.
Overview:
Throughout the Management and Leadership course, you have reviewed multiple theories of motivation. In this PLC assignment, you are going to apply those theories to a real group, team, or organization that you are involved with.
You will also identify what keeps you motivated as you progress through your career.
How to Proceed:
Start by selecting a team, group, or organization that you are a member of. This can be a school project team, place of employment, a school class, volunteer organization or any group of people that is tasked with a project, work task(s) or objectives.
Start by describing the team. Explain what the team does or what the team's project or organizational goals are. Also explain your role in the team.
You do not need to list the group's name or identifying specifics. You can identify the team in generalities such as a "school project team" or "the restaurant where I am employed".
Using some of the theories and strategies from the textbook, create a plan that includes a minimum of 6 specific actions to increase motivation amongst group members as they complete their tasks, project, or achieve their objectives.
For each action, explain and justify why you think that specific one will increase motivation amongst group members. Remember to reference the theories of motivation and how they operate to increase motivation.
Conclude your post by summarizing the overall motivational plan.
