Question: Culture can also play into the types of benefits that employees look for as well as monetary rewards. Let us talk a little about the style that influences employees as well as the organization as a whole. I think about companies like Google and Apple, which have a fun-loving kind of organizational culture. I have a good friend that works for EA Games, which is another fun-type of organizational culture. You can look at different kinds of companies such as Merrel Lynch or Countrywide, which have a much more serious organizational culture. What makes these different companies successful even though the style or organizational culture is so much different? Some companies can have a various styles that influence things such as dress code and other elements. I have never seen a rule or law that says a company has to be all serious to be successful because some companies such as EA Games could not handle that type of serious culture and develop fun games...Would you agree?
