Assume the mass density of Earth from the center to r= R_cm (radius of the core mantle boundary) is d_cm and from R_cm until the surface r=R_e the density is d_e.

Using these densities, determine the gravitational potential energy of the Earth. Assume R_cm= R_e/2

Compare your results with the simpler case of constant mass density.
