Air at 100 kpa and 27°C enters an isentropic compressor at a rate of 100 L/s and leaves at 1000 kpa. Determine the exit temperature and the power input assuming that the air is (a) an ideal gas with constant specific heats and (b) an ideal gas with variable specific heats. Also determine the power input that would be required if the compressor were isothermal.
