Design and Implement a New Interaction to be completed in Stages
Broad Scenario
You and your team will be the Interaction Design Team to analyse the 'human activity system' described below and to design and implement a set of new interactions between the system's actors and technologies that will allow the system to function effectively considering Usability and UX. While being creative in your answers, imagine your work will be reviewed and implemented as part of a bigger project. Therefore, it is required that you better understand what you are designing and for what purpose.
Stage 1: Design Review
• A human activity system diagram (rich picture)
• Description of at least three major personas, scenarios and their interaction with the system in terms of PACT Framework
• A detailed Object and Action analysis for at least three major activities
• Architecture and broad design of the complete system (using wireframes, storyboards and navigation maps)
• Discuss any HCI design processes and principles including techniques that you need to consider for your prototype
Stage 2: Prototype Presentation
• A human-centred presentation of your prototype
o Overview of complete system activities/functions
o Step by step walkthrough of three major interactions
Stage 3: Design Package Documentation
• A complete Data Flows, Entity Relationship Diagrams and/or State Transition Diagrams for two major activities
• A detailed designed: use cases, activity diagrams, patterns, prototype appearance, behaviour, gestures and movements
• Additional documentation including instructions for developers, users guides for different users (such as user help)
• Complete and updated project plan and list of deliverables (work breakdown structure ) for whole this HCI project
o Allocation of tasks to team members
o Timeline
o Project team diary
o List of issues and risks
Note: Need to draw rich picture and navigation using visio
