Learning Activity: Procedural vs. Object-oriented programming paradigm

Some of the essential resources touched on the concept of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). You also learnt that Python support OOP. In this learning activity, we ask you to explore more on the comparison between procedural programming and OOP paradigm. You should note that neither procedural programming nor OOP itself is a programming language. They are different approaches to programming.

Conduct some research on the internet and to find out:

A description of procedural programming and OOP.

How they compare to each other.

What are the representative languages belong to each programming paradigm. You do not need to go into too much detail about OOP, we will discuss OOP in Module 5.

Write up a few paragraphs on the three points above with no more than 300 words. You can expect questions in Assessment 1 asking you about the basics of procedural programming and OOP paradigms.
