The Vulnerable Community/Population (Strategy C).

Each communication strategy should detail the following components:

• Target Audience Description (the "recipient" of the communication)
• Communication Event (a summary of the communication need)
• Message Objective (specifies the intent for communication)
• Timing (i.e., the duration, frequency, etc.)
• Vehicle (the communication's medium [form] and its channel [route])
• Description of Health Literacy Strategy (e.g., plain language, cultural competence, readability statistics, etc.)
• Sender(s) (i.e. author, distributor, coordinator, etc.)
• Feedback Mechanism (i.e., currently available and needed avenues)

Additionally, each communication strategy must contain a certain level of systems thinking. To this end, you will detail your analysis of external influences related to the communication need-using a systems thinking approach called a PESTLE analysis. [PHE-610-06]. In each PESTLE analysis, you should detail how each of the following external factors/forces might affect the communication strategy:

• Political (international, national, state, local and community trends, changes, and events, such as new taxation policy, changes of government, etc.)
• Economic (world, national, and state trends, changes, and events, such as economic cycles, inflation, interest rate trends, unemployment, etc.)
• Social (developments in society-culture, behavior, and expectations, such as population demographics, income distribution, lifestyle changes, ageing workforce, inequality issues, etc.)
• Technological (developments in computer hardware, software, digital media, applications, systems, other equipment, materials, products, and processes, such as new discoveries, speed of technology transfer, rates of obsolescence, etc.)
• Legal (international, national and state legislative changes and potential changes, such as new industrial relations regulations, climate change laws, occupational safety and health laws, etc.)
• Environmental (global, national, state, and local issues, pressures, and movements, such as environmental impact, energy consumption, waste disposal, climate change, etc.)
