Working in the same teams as for the Interview Simulation Assignment, answer each of the following questions in essay format using the subheadings listed below. Your report must be 12 font, double spaced sentence format and a maximum of 5 pages (not including appendices). You are expected to use valid sources (Internet, textbook), you must cite sources and provide in text citations and a Works cited page using MLA.

Selection Process

1. Describe the selection plan that you would use for the Law Clerk job posting. Identify the specific selection methods/tools with rationale as well as which KSAOs would be assessed at each step. Your process should be the most efficient and effective.

2. How would you reduce legal risk in your selection process? Make specific reference to your (if applicable) screening, interview, testing, checks and decision making steps. Ensure you also address reliability and validity issues.

Communicating with candidates

3. All communications with candidates must be conducted using your Seneca email addresses and should be professional in tone, style and content. Include copies of your email communications with the candidates in the appendix. These will not be part of your page count.

Interviewing and Evaluating Candidates

4. For the Law Clerk job posting, create an interview guide to use in the interview simulation. There should be both unstructured and structured questions. Describe your rationale for your interview guide. Include your interview guide as an appendix with associated KSAOs underneath each question. For structured interviews, ensure you use proper formatting. For unstructured interviews, suggest some probing questions as follow up. The interview guide included in your appendix is not part of your page count.

5. Create a scoring sheet which each panel member must use to evaluate each candidate's interview. Explain the design of your scoring key. Summarize the panel's observations for each of candidates and choose the one who performed best during the interview. Include all completed scoring sheets and the Panel Evaluation Forms as an appendix in your report; these are not part of your page count.

6. Your panel's brief feedback on each candidate (overall professionalism, professional communication with Panel, interview notes, whether a candidate thank you note was received within 24 hours) should be

a. inputted into Taleo.

b. noted on the LXP candidate feedback form to be attached as an appendix in your report. A blank form is posted on Blackboard along with these assignment instructions.

7. Include reflections of your group's performance during the interviews; what went well, what did not go well, what you would do differently next time.
