MY PICOT Question

In elderly residents (aged 65 and older) of long-term care facilities (P), how does the implementation of a comprehensive, multifactorial fall prevention program (including individualized risk assessments, environmental modifications, and regular exercise routines) (I) compare to standard fall prevention practices (such as periodic safety checks and basic staff training) (C) affect the fall rate (number of falls per 1000 resident days) (O) over six months (T)?

Recommendations (1-2 slides)

1. Based on your literature review, what are your recommendations [implement practice change or conduct additional research]?
2. Identify the stakeholders impacted by your recommendation.
3. Discuss the resources needed to implement your recommendation.
4. Provide an in-text citation from a scholarly source to support your writing.
