Record an interview with a person in the life stage you have selected During the interview, ask the interviewee the six questions below:
- What do you believe your nutritional and physical activity needs are at this time?
- What are some physiologic, social, or environmental factors that may impact your nutrition intake?
- Describe an average day of intake including all meals/snacks/beverages.
- Three other questions of your choice that will give you a better insight into the nutritional intake of the individual.
Step 2:
Create a narrated PowerPoint that includes the following:
Provide an overview of the life stage, including any developmental and/or physical changes that occur during this life stage.
Describe the macro and micronutrient and physical activity recommendations for this life stage.
Compare and contrast what the interviewee believes are their nutritional needs compared to recommendations
Analyze and discuss the nutrient intake consumed by the interviewee compared to recommendations
Discuss specific nutrient concerns and recommendations during this life stage (at least five).
- Discuss one common condition that may occur during this life stage
- Discuss nutrition interventions for the condition
- Discuss physiologic, social, or environmental factors that may impact the nutrition intake of this group
- Compare and contrast the factors mentioned by your interviewee
Find and read one peer reviewed journal using on a nutrition intervention designed to address physiologic, social and environmental factors that affect individuals at the life stage you've chosen.
Discuss the overall findings of the intervention study (author name, title, methodology, results, application to practice)
Based on the findings from the interview and the peer reviewed journal article, a nutrition education campaign that could be used as an intervention to address the physiologic, social and/or environmental factors mentioned by your interviewee and the research
Campaign should have a creative and catchy title
Include at least three SMART objectives
Detailed intervention plan outline
Include detailed information about activities that would be planned
Link each activity with the objective that the activity is designed to meet
Include assessments that would be used to evaluate completion of objectives
