Taking human interactions that normally occur face to face in an online setting can have advantages and disadvantages. Online dispute resolution can reduce the need for face-to-face interaction during business-to-business disputes and also business-to-customer disputes. It is important to guide human behavior and the online dispute resolution process with a set of ethical principles. Ethical principles can help participants to avoid unfair or abusive behavior in the online dispute resolution process.
1. Define at least two ethical principles that should be utilized in online dispute resolution between either businesses and customers or between businesses and other businesses.
