Question

Syndromic surveillance was first created to detect large-scale biological threats. It is now used to help determine the size, range, and speed of an illness outbreak. This type of data collection relies on medical providers reporting symptoms and clusters of people with the same symptoms. The nurse could have many roles in those circumstances. The first one would be to educate the patients about risk factors and prevention of the illness. It's also to provide care for the infected people and apply evidence base practice to provide positive outcome in patient centered care. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
