Some programming languages are intended to create a very abstract programming environment that completely obscures the underlying computer hardware (e.g., Java, Lisp, Prolog, SNOBOL, etc.). Not so C++. In C++, there is a close relationship between every data type and the underlying memory structure. Data must ultimately be mapped in a predictable way to a fixed number of linearly numbered memory bytes. The sizeof() function will report the size (in bytes) of built-in or built-up (aggregate) types based on their type name, or it will compute and report the size of declared data items (e.g., variables). Find the Visual Studio documentation for sizeof() and review its syntax and usage. Exercise 1: Use the sizeof() function to compute and output the size of each of the following fundamental types: char, bool, short, int, long, unsigned int, unsigned long, float, double. The fact that data types map to a fixed number of bytes implies that every data type is limited in its range and/or precision. These limits are known a priori for any given compiler implementation, and their values are stored in the implementation-specific header files "LIMITS.H" and "FLOAT.H". Exercise 2: Find these header files in the Visual Studio system and determine the smallest (i.e., most negative) and largest (i.e., most positive) values that can be represented as int, unsigned int, long, unsigned long, float and double.
Use the Linked stack class to support an application that tracks the status of an online auction. Budding begins at 1(dollars, pounds, euros, or whatever) and proceeds in increments of at least 1
Write a definition of method dashedLine, with one parameter, an int .
Use this function in program which determines and prints all prime numbers between 2 and 10,000. How many of these numbers do you actually have to test before being sure that you have found all primes?
Explain briefly from what you notice about the digital output values in (a) why a digital output value of an A/D converter is rarely the exact same digital value as the analogue input value.
Browse the Web and choose a site that could benefit from box properties available in CSS. Make a screen capture of the page and indicate how you would change border and spacing properties.
The area of any right triangle is equal to one-half of base times its height. Prepare the program which will compute and display area of a triangle which has a base of 4 and a height of 5.
Create a multi-threaded competition
Write pseudocode that represents the abstract functions of the enqueue and dequeue operations. Define and explain any supplementary information needed by your pseudocode.
Create a COMMAND LINE based application to play a game called Perfect Hundred. In this game, the user/player competes against the computer.
Design an application that allows a user to input a price until an appropriate sentinel value is entered.Output is the price of each item on each day,one through seven.
Use Processing to write and test code that meets the requirements below. Create a 600x400 window with a green background (using 64 as the "amount" of green to draw).
