There is an old saying that goes something like this: "The more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future." In this activity, you will create a timeline of the history and growth of the food service industry.

While you will have complete control over the formatting and organization of your timeline, there are a few requirements that you will need to make sure that you meet:

Make sure that your timeline spans several decades.
Identify at least eight food trends that have existed over the course of your timeline.
Identify at least three entrepreneurs who made significant contributions to the food service industry.
Your timeline should be visually appealing as well as informative, meaning that you will need to use a combination of text and graphics/images-get creative! You can use an online timeline creator to come up with an interesting layout.
After completing your timeline, write one to three paragraphs exploring how deepening your understanding of the past and history of the food service industry might prove useful and helpful to your future career in food service.
