Given the success the College experienced converting courses for online delivery in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, senior management of the Centre for Business is now entertaining the possibility of continuing and expanding the practice in the future when normal business operations and social processes resume. The plan is to maintain a skeletal face-to-face offering of one section only per course. Face-to-face courses would be scheduled only in the morning from 8:00 am to noon, leaving classroom facilities in SJA open for other departments to book in the afternoons. All other sections of business courses would be delivered virtually. The Centre could save on the cost of facilities and overhead, since they wouldn't be using the classroom space in the afternoons. The Centre could also cut back on staffing since online courses are not constricted by room size and can expand to include much bigger class enrollment.
