You work in the surgical recovery room of a local hospital. Your specific position is not needed for this example. As part of your duties, you are required to change the sheets every time one of your patients is switched from one bed to another. Clean sheets are obtained from a linen cart which is right next to a spot where patients are placed while in recovery. There is only a two foot space between the cart and a patient's bed and most times the patient is being disturbed, bed being bumped, by the people obtaining items from the linen cart. Sometimes a patient may be there for anywhere from two hours up until nine hours which could mean people may be coming for fresh linens every ten minutes depending on.
