One of your team members, Sally, has been calling in sick for at least one day each week for the last month. The rest of the team is becoming suspicious. You are hearing gossip from team members questioning whether Sally is sick or just taking time off. She has not provided you with a Doctor's Certificate for her absences. The team is annoyed that they have to pick up Sally's duties when she doesn't come into the office.
1. Conduct a 15-minutes meeting with Sally to resolve the workplace issue
Roleplay Scenario
Sally is now regularly calling in sick and is failing to achieve workplace deadlines because of being off work so much. You have decided to set up a meeting with Sally to discuss the problem. Before you commence this task, you are required to review the following guides provided as part of the appendices.

? Cricket Equip's Staff Code of Conduct, noting that it is a requirement of the company that these guidelines are followed. Prior to the meeting, review the above guides and prepare a short conversation plan for yourself.
Roleplay Conditions
Your assessor will play Sally's role and you will play the role of her manager.
Your assessor will give you some further information that you were unaware of, and you will be expected to respond accordingly. This is to assess your ability to respond to unexpected events.
During the meeting, you are required to:
? Explain to Sally the problem with her behaviour
? How it impacts on the workplace and why it is a concern
? Demonstrate your interpersonal skills and ability to develop trust and confidence by:
? Listening to Sally and confirming and clarifying information shared
? Asking questions to confirm information
? Emphasising Sally's strengths in the role
? Showing respect and empathy for Sally
? Respond appropriately to unexpected information provided to you at the meeting
? Discuss and agree on a solution.
