Stephen is a consulting psychologist working for a private security firm called Stonewall Solutions. He has been asked by the company's HR department to formulate an assessment system designed to identify suitable candidates for security guard positions, as well as those with a psychological profile that is less well-suited to the role.
Stephen intends to assemble a comprehensive suite of assessments, measuring such constructs as cognitive ability, motivation, values, honesty/integrity, and personality. The test battery will be administered online in an unproctored testing environment. All candidates that pass an initial screen (based on qualifications, experience, residency status and several other factors) will be invited to finish this battery of tests and inventories.
The first assessment that Stephen will select is the measure of personality. He intends to adopt a measure that uses the five-factor approach.
