Great discussion post! We both mentioned that the competencies displayed on the graph are essential to the nurse and impactful as the world around us changes constantly. In order to keep up with those changes the competencies allow nurses to become experts in delivery high quality care. I also picked patient centered care as the most important competency. As you mention, patient centered care focuses on the individual and their needs by also ensuring there overall well-being rather than just focusing no their clinical conditions. My philosophy as well as yours has a lot to do with my choice as I agree that treating the patient as a whole will result in a high quality of care.
