This is a two part case which asks you to detail your treatment at the initial visit and a return visit 2 weeks later. A 38-year-old female presents to your clinic with "cold symptoms." She has congestion and green drainage when she blows her nose. The symptoms started yesterday, but she gets this every year in the fall and her primary care provider always gives her a z-pack. She just wants a z-pack so she doesn't miss any work. What would you recommend for this patient at this visit? The patient returns two weeks later and reports that she improved after about a week, but now she has fatigue, sinus pain and pressure, a headache, and her teeth hurt. She is wondering what she should do now. What would you recommend at this time? The patient has no known drug allergies. She is negative for influenza and Covid today.
