A nursing student (academic setting) or nursing orientee (hospital setting) was noticed to be "not acting right" by the preceptor. This learner, Paul, is a highly functional individual who is nearing the completion of preceptorship. There is mutual respect and trust between him and his preceptor because of his ability to work safely and diligently.
