The country I chose to compare with was Brazil.
In general, Americans tend to be more aggressive and goal-oriented, as shown by their higher motivation toward awards score. Several characteristics of American culture mirror this aggressive and success-oriented mindset, including the importance Americans put on personal achievements and the desire to climb the corporate ladder. Brazil, on the other hand, has a lower score than the average country, which can be an indication of a more cooperative and relationship-focused society.
Brazil scores higher than the US in uncertainty avoidance. Which implies an appreciation for structure, regulations, and safety. Brazil might require more clarity and assurance in professional and personal relationships. However, the US scores lower in this category, showing a wider tolerance for ambiguity and greater adaptability.
Brazil and the United States both have comparatively lower Long-Term Orientation ratings, pointing to a more immediate and short-term orientation. This suggests that people in both nations value instant pleasure and could be less concerned with making long-term plans.
