The use of social media outlets to obtain support, strategies, and materials continues to increase. Review the following example, and discuss potential challenges that might arise within a social media environment:

"I had a new family call to inquire about services for their 12-year-old who was just diagnosed. They also asked about tips for telling him that he is on the spectrum. This is pretty far outside of my area of competency. Does anyone have any resources to share with this family? The child is getting some counseling already but I told the family I would reach out to my network for additional resources" (p. 51).
