The title of the article that I read is "Drinking Water Safely: Can the Nation's aging water infrastructure be fixed?

This issue directly relates to environmental quality and equity issues because many low income communities are disproportionately affected by outdated and unsafe water systems. Access to clean water is or should be a very basic human right, yet our failing infrastructure helps to contribute to contamination and health risks. The article explains how environmental injustice occurs when some populations bear a greater burden of poor water quality due to lack of funding or political influence. Addressing this problem is easy in my opinion; however we must first have elected leaders who are willing to listen and make changes.
