Dry ice is placed in the bottom of a capillary tube 6.2 cm long. Air is blown across the top of the tube. Calculate the ratio of the total flux to the diffusion flux halfway up the capillary for the following conditions:

(a) A temperature of - 124 C, where the vapor pressure is 5 mm Hg. Answer: 1.00.

(b) A temperature of - 86 C, where the vapor pressure is 400 mm Hg. Answer: 1.45.
