In July, a new endoscopy suite will be opened in your organization projection are that 60 endoscopy will be performed per day. At the same time, an electrophysiology lab will be opening, with anticipation of 5 procedures being done there day. You have done some preliminary work sampling to determine how much time it will take to code these types of cases and arrived at 5 minutes per endoscopy and 15 minutes per procedure. Calculate the number of FTEs that you will need to hire to cover the additional workload. Base your calculation on 7.5-hour workday.
